1. Data Collection

We collect the minimum data required to operate a competitive game: your sign-in email address and the record of your play. Our analytics provider additionally records page views and IP addresses so that we can monitor whether the service is functioning. We process that data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining the service.

Account ID

We use the email address from your Google sign-in to identify your account and sync your profile across devices.

Game Progress

We store your XP, level and win streaks to maintain your standing on the leaderboards and your reward history.

To take payment and provide what you have bought, we share your email address and transaction details with Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record.

• We never see, handle or store your card numbers or billing address.
• Paddle encrypts transactions to the PCI-DSS standard.

4. Who else sees it

We use service providers that process personal data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. These are our hosting and database providers, our analytics provider, and Paddle as Merchant of Record for payments. We do not sell personal data and we do not disclose it to advertisers.

These providers operate outside Egypt, including in the United States and the European Economic Area, so personal data is transferred internationally. Transfers out of the EEA or the United Kingdom rely on the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose.

5. Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your game history, token records and purchase records are deleted with it. We retain nothing beyond that period except where the law requires it. Payment records held by Paddle are retained for tax purposes under Paddle's retention rules rather than ours.

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to maintain your login session (via JWT) and current game state. These are essential for the game to function and do not track your activity on other websites for advertising purposes.

Wherever you live, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, its correction if inaccurate, its deletion, a restriction on how we process it, or a copy in a portable format. You may also object to our processing it. Send any such request to support@5wordys.com and we will act on it.

If you consider that we have handled your personal data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country in which you live. You may do so whether or not you have raised the matter with us first.
